Setup

Prepare Eclipse, ABAP Development Tools, and a connection to your ABAP Cloud environment before your first lesson.

Workshops

Git & GitHub workshop — learn the abapGit workflow, complete an independent lab, and use the companion for reference. Take it after ABAP Foundations Lesson 1.

HTTP Workshop — REST APIs with ABAP Cloud — learn HTTP requests, JSON, status codes, and authentication headers, then discover and consume a public REST API. Take it after ABAP SQL, CDS & RAP Lesson 20. Continue with Practice and the Companion.

Projects

Combine the course concepts in complete applications through independent checkpoints and a guided final project with independent improvements. Each project takes approximately one working day.

• Travel Booking Inspector — a read-only application after SQL & CDS Lesson 5.
• Travel Budget Review Manager — custom persistence and safe SQL writes after Lesson 9, before RAP.
• Purchase Request Workflow Manager — a managed RAP workflow with EML, business rules, actions, and feature control after Lesson 14.
• Service-Ready Purchase Request Application — extend Project 3 with authorization, draft, compositions, and an OData V4 UI service after Lesson 18.
• Final Stock Check Project — Lesson 23 — finish the course with a local RAP/Fiori app and remote S/4HANA Product value help, then complete independent improvements.

Certification Prep

Test your skills with an independent C_ABAPD 2601-style practice exam on SAP BTP, ABAP Environment Trial. Allow three hours for Tasks 2–8, with system preparation completed beforehand. Attempt it after the course modules and projects.
